The big bang theroy

The Big Bang

The Big Bang is the cosmological model of the universe that is best supported by all lines of scientific evidence and observation. The essential idea is that the universe has expanded from a primordial hot and dense initial condition at some finite time in the past and continues to expand to this day. Georges Lemaître proposed what became known as the Big Bang theory of the origin of the Universe, although he called it his 'hypothesis of the primeval atom'. The framework for the model relies on Albert Einstein's General Relativity as formulated by Alexander Friedmann. After Edwin Hubble discovered in 1929 that the distances to far away galaxies were generally proportional to their redshifts, this observation was taken to indicate that all very distant galaxies and clusters have an apparent velocity directly away from our vantage point. The farther away, the higher the apparent velocity.[1] If the distance between galaxy clusters is increasing today, everything must have been closer together in the past. This idea has been considered in detail back in time to extreme densities and temperatures, and large particle accelerators have been built to experiment on and test such conditions, resulting in significant confirmation of the theory. But these accelerators can only probe so far into such high energy regimes. Without any evidence associated with the earliest instant of the expansion, the Big Bang theory cannot and does not provide any explanation for such an initial condition, rather explaining the general evolution of the universe since that instant. The observed abundances of the light elements throughout the cosmos closely match the calculated predictions for the formation of these elements from nuclear processes in the rapidly expanding and cooling first minutes of the universe, as logically and quantitatively detailed according to Big Bang nucleosynthesis.

Fred Hoyle is credited with coining the phrase 'Big Bang' during a 1949 radio broadcast, as a derisive reference to a theory he did not subscribe to.[2] Hoyle later helped considerably in the effort to figure out the nuclear pathway for building certain heavier elements from lighter ones. After the discovery of the cosmic microwave background radiation in 1964, and especially when its collective frequencies sketched out a blackbody curve, most scientists were fairly convinced by the evidence that some Big Bang scenario must have occurred.

I can´t believe in that theory

Mmm, like every theory it can be or not. Maybe is more credible than the biblic theory, of course.

I'm not sure what I believe, the knowledge of the world we live in is changing and we must bear this in mind, but I also believe in the existence of truth and it's not easy to combine these two positions.

I believe in the Big Bang theory, because there have been some experiments which confirm that it´s real.

Since the humans began to want to know what happened in the universe, have appeared a lot of Scientifics who have tried to explain their theories and as the technology have gone evolving and developing is easier to confirm their ideas.

Every theory, in this case the Big Bang, has had being supported by many experiments. At the beginning was difficult to believe it, because there weren´t any evidence which probed it, but Scientifics tried to explain better that theory.

I really believe in the Big Bang Theory, The existence of many of our elements can be explained with the reactions that can ocurr in such high conditions like those of the big explosion. Many experiments had been performed in order to demostrate this theory, mos of them, in mi opinion, had been succesfull. The fact that the universe is expanding itself could prove more seriously the theory, whats more, ¡you can arrive to the conclusion that one day the universe will stop expanding when its global energy reach zero¡ and after that, it maybe starts to get together again as an efect of gravitational forces.

i think that this theroy is true, because as everybody know we are in a cycle, maybe in many years, another "big bang" will ocurre. Nobody knows what is going to happend but it is excelent that we have imagination and each one of us comment and discuss, and try to make a conclusion.

I also belive that theory, 'cause as the article says, there is cientific evidence that galxies are getting far away each other, at high speed ratios and these events still happen now..

So I imamagine that we are not enough inteligent species to understand what is the true about that event (Big Bang) and also, even we cannot prove if that really hapenned, the are enough elements to support that theory, so, until we gain more knowledge about the universe, we have to conform with the Big bang...

Well I believe this information is very interesting and also I learned and reaffirm knowledge that I had about this.

Like vanzzety said "we can´t prove if that really hapenned", if the theory of the big bang is truth or not but at least is a scientific way to explain it, to try to know the beginnig of our times, because in the other hand there's the bible theory and this is more extraordinary and hard to believe, so why don´t we trust in "The big bang theory"? and that the Universe has expanded and it continues expanding? I think that theory it's justified with the explanation they gave.
I like the comment of Carlos, it´s very interesting, and very crazy.

Hello there! Well, It was amazing to me to read yor comments. although some of you had more to say, it seems that you have really acknowledged a great deal on this scintific stuff.

Ther should be a balance on the number of lines you guys write. I mean some of you wrote more, some others less....This is a colaborative stuff, so help each other to make the best of it. You shoud do some peer corrrection, editing thing, so that when you post all your comments they appear with a propper grammar and spelling. This is your publication! as a team.

You did very well actually, Your English is very good guys. I really enjoyed reading to you. Just improve your participation as a team. It should show that you work together.
